Troy lands $10 million grant
Troy is getting $10 million to fix up its Riverwalk District. Gov. Kathy Hochul announced Saturday that the city was a winner of the fifth round of the state’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative.
The Riverwalk District encompasses a large share of the city’s arts, cultural, and entertainment offerings, with 1.6 miles of riverfront.
“The grassroots strategic vision for this project will ensure that Troy’s cultural and economic revitalization is responsive to the needs of the community and will create long-term prosperity,” Hochul said.
