Watching the footage from Afghanistan and feeling helpless? Now is a good time to donate to groups that aid immigrants and refugees.

At the national and international levels, organizations include the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Mercy Corps, UNICEF, Save the Children and Catholic Relief Services.
