The Adirondack Foundation, a community foundation formed in 1997 as the Adirondack Community Trust, is the largest nonprofit organization in Lake Placid. In 2022, it reported assets of $89 million.
A state-funded renovation of the Lake Placid Olympic Center was completed in 2022.
