Hamilton County > Raquette Lake
The Sagamore Institute of the Adirondacks owns the Great Camp Sagamore, which sits on 1,526 acres in the Adirondack Park. The property had fallen into disrepair and was sold to the state, which intended to tear down the camp’s structures. Preservationists rallied, formed the nonprofit institute and saved the site.
