Canandaigua is home to Finger Lakes Community College, which plans a new horticulture complex costing more than $24 million. The project has attracted funding from Empire State Development and the federal government, an estate gift, and foundation grants.
The city is also the site of New York Kitchen, which promotes the state’s agriculture, foods and craft beverages. Major local funders include the Sands Family Foundation and the Finger Lakes Area Community Endowment.
