Clark Foundation

Much of the Clark family fortune, built through an investment in the Singer sewing machine company, has gone to the foundation and to institutions in the Cooperstown region. The family’s commitment to the area has continued over the generations, with Jane Forbes Clark, granddaughter of foundation founder Stephen C. Clark, serving as the funder’s president. She has also chaired such organizations as the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Bassett Medical Center.

This funder has supported nonprofits interested in arts and culture, colleges, education, health, employment, emergency services, government, seniors, nonprofit sector and sports and recreation.
