Equestrian trail gets rehab grant

The Chautauqua County Equestrian Trail System is getting a $64,805 grant to rehab an access point known as the Boulevard.

The award has been approved by the state Park and Trail Partnership Grants program, funded by the state Environmental Protection Fund.

The trail system is in the towns of Cherry Creek, Charlotte, Sinclairville and Cassadaga in the northeast corner of Chautauqua. Volunteers have renovated more than 20 miles of trails in recent years.
